Dentistry with a woman's touch: gentle and confident
Dr. Lisa Whang Shirai
I was born in Taiwan and raised on Guam. I am fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English. I am a graduate of University of
Hawaii-at Manoa in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Physiology in 2003. After college, I
attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and received a DDS degree in 2007. In order to care for
my patients at a higher level that they deserve, I did a two year General Practice Residency at Truman Medical Center-Lakewood
in Missouri and received a residency certificate in 2009. At the Medical Center, I have trained under many dental specialists.
I have been practicing dentistry for over 10 years and I continue to attend numerous accredited Continuing Education courses to
obtain updated dental knowledge. I promise that you will receive the best care possible and will always strive to make every
experience as good as it can be. I live here in Hawaii with my husband, my 4 year old son, and my 2 year old daughter. Outside
of work, I spend most of my time with my family and friends.

Dr. Leialoha Leung:
I am a native of San Francisco, California, a 1977 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and a 1982 graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry.
My 33 years in practice have given me extensive experience and I have honed these skills to focus on comprehensive and preventive dentistry with an emphasis on least invasive restorative and esthetic techniques.
I have participated in extensive post-graduate education, including special training in esthetic, full mouth reconstruction through the Frank Spear Institute, occlusion training through Pete Dawson, implant and laser dentistry.
I continue to update and further my knowledge with continuing education, especially in the field of clear aligner therapy.

Besides the excellent care you will receive, I promise that I will always give you an honest assessment of the condition of your mouth as if you were a member of my family.
You will never be pressured into receiving any treatment that you don't want.
About Dr. Leung:
